22 Weeks

22 Weeks: Baby O is the size of a spaghetti squash.
He weighs almost 1 whole pound and is 11 inches long!  This week baby is actually beginning to look like a newborn with eyelids and eyebrows becoming more distinct, and tiny tooth buds forming. His eyes have formed but there is no pigment in the irises yet.

How far along? 22 Weeks
Total weight gain? Up 10 pounds- I partly blame Thanksgiving haha.
Maternity clothes? I actually really like the one pair of maternity jeans I've bought so far.  That's all I've bought so far cause my tops and dresses all fit fine.  The rest of my pants just get the belly band treatment.
Stretch marks? Nope- lathering on my cocoa butter
Sleep? Sleeping like a baby :)
Best moment this week? See the post I just wrote before this one... finding out that Baby O is a little BOY!
Miss anything? While shopping at Black Friday I loved all the clothes deals I saw... but knowing I'll be getting bigger kind of makes buying anything non-maternity pointless... even if it is a good deal.
Movement? Flips and flops all day/night long.
Food cravings? I see some peanut butter m&m's in my future...
Anything making you queasy/sick? Nothing
Gender? Little man :)
Labor Signs? No- I'd hope not!
Symptoms? Getting bigger obviously, lots of urgent potty breaks, and baby brain.  Ugh... I'm normally a type A person that doesn't forget things... but not anymore. I have literally had students repeat their question several times to me cause I forgot what they just asked me.  If I don't write it down... there's a good chance I won't remember to do it!
Belly button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody? In the words of Duck Dynasty... Happy, Happy, Happy!!!
Looking forward to? Starting the baby registry this weekend!
Daddy moment?  Baby Daddy is over the moon excited we are having a son.  He's already talking about what him and the little man will do together.  My two boys are gonna be quite the pair I can already tell.

Thanksgiving at our home with our families- ignore that my tree isn't decorated.  Jeryn Fe helped me put up some of my Christmas decor on Wednesday as a distraction while waiting on Baby O's gender reveal. We didn't get very far though.

Some other special men in my life... my brother, grandpa, and dad.  All very excited to add another man to the fam as well :)

It's a... BOY!!!

Wednesday 11.21.12 at exactly 3 o'clock on the dot was the day we found out we'll be adding a little MAN to our family! I told myself no more than 10 pics per post but Wednesday was too special of a day not to go overboard about :)

Waiting around from 2-3 was the longest hour EVER.  Imagine being eight years old on Christmas morning and times that by a thousand.  I swear I looked at my phone about every 7 minutes. Glad we had some family and friends around to distract me. We had everyone come wearing either blue or pink based on their gender prediction... a lot of blue was in the crowd :)

Trent and I wore blue as well... predicting we'd be having a little boy.  Trent has always wanted a boy first from day one.  I haven't cared either way with this first baby- just a healthy one!  But I just had a feeling that it was going to be a boy... every dream I've ever had of the baby it's been a little handsome lad.  Although a girl would've made me just as happy! And this is the box I decorated that was full of balloons waiting to be released.

Proof that I didn't even peek... I was a good girl!

Out comes the BLUE!

OMG... best moment ever!!!  Seeing all the blue flying up was such an incredible rush!

There they go... it was a really windy day and the balloons left fast.

The reaction of the crowd.

Group shot of the blue/pink- thank you to our family and friends who could make it on a Wednesday afternoon :)

A very proud/excited grandma!

Excited for grandbaby #5/grandson #4

Even though the diva predicted her baby was a girl named Kendra... she handled the baby boy news well... until the next morning I hear ;) At least her polka dot balloon was a good distraction! She will be the BEST big cousin!

All of our baby boy's cousins excited to add another boy to the mix.  Diva Jeryn gets to hold onto her only girl status awhile longer!

Thankful to have photog Ashley in the family to take pictures in an empty lot by our house afterwards :) Trent felt like it was engagement pictures again... until he ruined the moment like a typical boy would.  Guess I'd better get used to it with another boy joining our fam!

I hope our son is a min-Trenton in every way possible. He is such an incredible person, husband, and soon to be father... our little boy has a wonderful man to look up to!!!

I now have two men who my world revolves around :)

Not to be upstaged the diva made sure to show off that she had on blue too... even if it was on her panties hahaha :)

Our first babies... clearly excited to announce that they have a little brother on the way :)

21 Weeks

21 Weeks: Baby O is the size of a carrot.
He/She weighs 3/4 of a pound and is 10.5 inches long.  This week baby now has eyebrows and eyelids and will begin a lot more movement.

How far along? 21 Weeks
Total weight gain? Up 7 pounds
Maternity clothes? I officially bought my first pair of maternity jeans.  They really are as comfy as people say.  I'll probably be breaking them in at work at this week's spirit day :)
Stretch marks? Nope- lathering on my cocoa butter
Sleep? Like a rock!
Best moment this week? 1. Seeing the last Twilight movie early on Wednesday with Trent and his coworkers, Jobeth, and Ashley.  So sad another one of my movie series is over :( But dang it was freaking awesome!!!  2. My first piece of mom jewelry :) Jo got me the CUTEST/delicate infinity bracelet that came with a card saying "A Mother's Love is Infinite." It is definitely my new favorite piece of jewelry!! 3.Getting the baby's room painted thanks to Trent and my mom!
Miss anything? We made homemade pizza on Friday night and all I could think about is how good a glass of wine sounded to go with it.
Movement? Little pushes all throughout the day.
Food cravings? Thanksgiving food... I'm ready to do damage on Thursday!
Anything making you queasy/sick? Nothing
Gender? WEDNESDAY... only 2 more days!
Labor Signs? No- I'd hope not!
Symptoms? I have to go to the bathroom all the time right now.  And I'm also dangerously close to wetting my pants when I laugh, cough, or sneeze too hard... TMI?
Belly button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody? SO EXCITED!
Looking forward to? The obvious choice... is Baby O a boy or a girl?  We'll finally know/announce it on Wednesday!
Daddy moment?  Love that I have a husband who is just as excited as I am to work on the baby's nursery.

Trent and my mom painted the three solid walls on Thursday night.  Then the stripe painting party began on Friday night.  My how our Friday nights have changed...
My mom working on the stripes

I was put in charge of taping before they started, my mom was the designated edger, and Trenton was the official roller.

The final results in daylight on Sunday morning.  We are in LOVE with our ombre wall.  Thank you pinterest for this idea.

A closer view of the 5 shades of gray we used.  No it's not 50 Shades of Gray in our baby's nursery ;)

Since I can't post about the gender yet I'll post the envelope/card I made to seal the results in.  I got bored at the waiting room of the sonogram so sorry it's crappy picture quality.  Here's the front of the envelope.

Back of the envelope.

 The front of the card...

And the inside of the card.  Can't wait to find out which box will be checked!

20 Weeks- 50% Baked!

20 Weeks: Baby O is the size of a banana.
*For the first 20 weeks the baby was being measured head to rump, now my baby app is measuring the baby from little head to tiny toe!

How far along? 20 Weeks- halfway there!!!!!!  This pregnancy really does seem like it's flying by to us!
Total weight gain? Up 5 pounds
Maternity clothes? I'm ready to consider looking at maternity pants.  Everyone keeps telling me at work how comfy they are so that is on my list of shopping items for the next week or two.  Until then... bring on the belly bands!
Stretch marks? Nope- lathering on my cocoa butter
Sleep? Like a rock!
Best moment this week? So many to pick from!  The definite top is the baby starting to move a TON.  Trent even got to feel his first kicks this weekend while we were back in Great Bend. He is so excited that he can feel Baby O now too... somebody was starting to get jealous last week when I'd tell him the baby was moving ;)  Other best moments were being back in GB for family time/pictures, completely clearing out the office/scrapbook room to start the nursery, and the crib arriving and setting that up last night!
Miss anything? Nothing this week.
Movement? Little flips and flops at all times of the day now- especially at night- we have a little night owl!
Food cravings? I am DYING for some extra marshmallowy Rice Krispie treats.  I need to a. buy the stuff at the store and then b. learn how to make these.
Anything making you queasy/sick? Nothing- nausea seems like a whole lifetime ago... knock on wood...
Gender? Next Wednesday when all the family gets into town!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Labor Signs? No- I'd hope not!
Symptoms? Killer heartburn and my first several cases of "baby brain." Not enjoying that AT ALL haha.
Belly button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody? HAPPY!!!
Looking forward to? Trent and my mom painting Baby O's room this week- bought the paint yesterday!
Daddy moment?  Trenton is enjoying that he can finally feel Baby O too and the handyman did a super job at putting the crib together... hope he's ready for paint!

Jeryn wanted to feel the baby kicking like Tio did.  She told everyone that "Kendra" was kicking her too haha.

This year's color theme for the family pics was black and white with a pop of pink.  Not a bad looking group I must say :)

Crazy to think that next year I'll be getting to plan and coordinate an outfit for our little man or little lady!  Pretty sure their outfit will be way more important than ours from now on :)

If he takes a picture like this then he has to know it's gonna end up on the blog...

The office last week before we started Project Nursery.

The scrapbook side of the room pre-move to the guest bedroom. Still need to take pictures of what the guest bedroom looks like right now... yikes...

 Putting Baby O's crib together!

The lonely empty room.  Still LOTS of projects coming up... starting with paint this week :)

Sonogram Video

Don't feel like you have to watch this... it's 21 minutes long... but I know we have some grandparents ready to see this :)  Here's Baby Olivier!

Halfway Sonogram!

We woke up bright and early today to see Baby O's cute little self.  There are only a few things I'll wake up before 6 a.m. for and not be grouchy.. getting to see our baby is definitely one of them! As you know from the other blog posts... no gender reveal here today.  Got to wait two more weeks with us until the Thanksgiving reveal :)

Hi Baby O! Baby's first head shot- the sonographer told us there's no way to avoid the alien baby look at this point haha.  Lack of soft tissue or something like that. She pointed out that you can actually see the baby's eye lens and everything.  Technology is crazy.

Baby O had his/her legs crossed so she had a tough time getting a picture of the feet.  What was funny is I did too while laying there on the table... loved that!  Now we'll see if baby will come out with Trent's size 14s or my normal sized foot ;)  Can't wait to go baby shoe shopping!!!

Underneath the label of "baby foot" you can see the bottom of one of the feet with the cute little toes.

Arm and fingers all looked good.

 Another face and body shot.

Baby says peace out.  So funny he/she can already throw up some deuces!  Love this little crazy person inside of me!

Luckily, Trent right away told her not to show us what the baby's gender is.  And she laughed and said she already saw it and showed it on the screen. We both have different opinions on what we "think" we might've seen/not seen.  When she was in the butt region I said a girl and Trent said boy cause he thought he saw a little wiener (haha... how else should I put that?!?) so we're both still torn. As long as it's healthy... we'll take whoever God has chosen for us. The sonographer said everything looked good- body, face, brain, heart, spine, etc.  We also have a mover on our hands which should get interesting in the next 21 weeks.  She was chasing Lil' O all over the place in there.

All done and headed out for a celebratory breakfast- biscuits and gravy :)

Later tonight I'll be posting the 21 minute sonogram video... it's taking forever to upload.  We're not expecting anyone to watch it... it's for the grandparents :)

19 Weeks

19 Weeks: Baby O is the size of a large heirloom tomato
How far along? 19 Weeks
Total weight gain? Up 5 pounds
Maternity clothes? Nope but I have officially started busting out of my pants.  I'm down to only 3 jeans that are still willing to button without cutting off my circulation.  I have now started using the rubberband trick and the Belly Bands most days at work.
Stretch marks? Nope- lathering on my cocoa butter
Sleep? Sleeping like a baby minus my nightly bathroom visit.
Best moment this week? 1. Halloween!  I cannot wait till next year when we have a little one to dress up and parade around. 2. Ordering our chair and crib for the nursery!!!  The chair won't be in until December but the crib should arrive in 5-10 days!
Miss anything? Nothing this week.
Movement? Still a little here and there.  They no longer feel like flutters this week, more like slight pushes or nudges.  But still nothing major and I only feel it when I'm sitting still or laying down.
Food cravings? Nothing really this week.
Anything making you queasy/sick? Nothing!!
Gender? We get to seal it in the envelope tomorrow morning!  Can't wait to see our little one even if I won't know if I'm looking at a he/she until Thanksgiving.
Labor Signs? No- I'd hope not!
Symptoms? Lots of back pain still and nightly heartburn. Oh the heartburn...
Belly button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody? HAPPY!!!
Looking forward to? Seeing Baby O on the sonogram tomorrow morning!!!!!!!  We haven't seen him/her since he/she was a tiny blueberry on the screen glowing like a lightning bug.  Now it will look like a real baby!  Our kid better be ready to show the goods off to the sonographer too.
Daddy moment? Almost every time I tell Trent the baby kicks he quickly puts his hand on my tummy to try and feel.  Still nothing that he can feel yet though- the nudges are so little it might be awhile before he can feel them.

For the third year in a row we went over to the Gorneys for our annual carving night.  Ashley has the majority of the pictures from that night of everyone's final products.  She should probably blog those sometime soon... her blog is slacking!  I did get pics of the glitter pumpkins that I made with J-Fe.  Jeryn and I both agree... everything is better with a little glitter :) Jeryn made the J, the heart, and the little green polka dot.  I made the H, B, and O for Harlee, Bentley, and Baby O.

My pumpkin this year thanks to Ashley's pinterest find- the crybaby.

 Trent's masterpiece.

 The porch decor.

The last year just the two of them... our furbabies in their costumes.  Harlee the witch and Bentley the fierce dragon.  Next year there will be 2 furbabies and a real baby to dress up and sit on the porch- can't wait!!!
Halloween tummy pic with one of my best friends, Jess.  Love that we are only a week apart and get to share in all this joy and excitement together!  They found out today that they are adding another little lady to their family... SO excited for them!  Now to find out if we're giving baby girl Carlson a future gal pal or a boyfriend :)

The rocker/glider/recliner we ordered for the nursery.  Only we chose a gray color called "gravel." It is soooo comfy I can already tell we'll be taking plenty of naps in that chair together.  I also told Trent that the new chair will be named Christian Grey (from 50 Shades of Grey for those who haven't read the books).  Trenton hasn't been too thrilled with all the one liners I'm getting off of this chair.  "I can't wait to sleep on Christian", "Trent will you be sitting on Christian?", "Christian is the total package", etc. Once Christian comes in you're welcome to come  try him out if you'd like ;)
